>P.R.I. Statement
Cyrte Investments recognizes that as an Investment Manager, it has a social responsibility. Cyrte Investments wishes to take into account the norms and values that exist in our society. Therefore Cyrte wants to include the Principles for Responsible Investment, as stated by the UNEP finance initiative, into all its investment decisions. Cyrte will increasingly select opportunities not only in terms of the expected financial return, but also from the social and environmental perspective.
Cyrte firmly beliefs that high shareholder value will be achieved if the interests of all stakeholders in an organization are taken into account. Corporations which acknowledge their responsibilities in relation to human rights, the environment and social policy are generally managed by people who instantly recognise and respond to changes in society by showing clear and distinctive leadership.
We, Cyrte management, all employees, our partners and clients, hold the view that Principles for Responsible Investment is a crucial step in the road towards global sustainability. Cyrte is therefore a signatory of the UNEP Principles for Responsible Investments. A Board of Ethics will be announced later in May. The Board of Ethics will in addition to its supervision also contribute to the global debate on Responsible Investment by publishing a yearly essay/lecture on the role of Capital in Society.
A full overview of our engagement policies, exclusion criteria and screening procedures is enclosed in the fund-documentation and investment-guidelines.
